The Aston University Singaporean Society (AUSS) is one of the most popular societies at Aston University among the international students,
as we are well-known for the "warmth" and "friendliness". Although the name of our society may imply to you that it is only designated for the Singaporeans,
which is not the case. Our members range from Singapore, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Korea, Japan, United Kingdom, India and etc.
Our statement for the year of 2008/2009 is "Oriental Home for International Student".
Unlike some of the other oriental societies which mainly focus on a specific group of nationality,
AUSS will continue to promote the Singapore's culture of "regardless of race, language or religion",
accepting all students who have interest in the Asian's culture and to meet new friends of other nationality.
Each year, our societies will organise a variety of in-house events such as; Overseas Trip, Asian Film Screening,
Sports Session, Festival Celebration, Games Session, Dining Session, Day-trip to Other Cities, and many more exciting activities.
In addition, we also have join activities with other universities' Singaporean/Malaysian societies such as the annual Nottingham Sports Games.
